Lessons will mainly be conducted using the IVA method, based on 17th and 18th Century principles of singing developed by the Old Italian School of Singing, which trains voices to sing in a free and natural manner, smoothly, from the bottom of the range to the top with no breaks or sudden changes in quality.
There are mainly three types of lessons, in person, through the internet (Skype) or group, each has its own benefits.
In Person:
One on one private lessons at David Cheung Vocal Studio. Ideal for singers who want a more personal lesson tailored according to their skill level, goals, habits and characteristics. Beginners are highly suggested to do this type of lesson at the beginning of their training.
Internet Video:
Have voice lessons in the comfort of your own home. Ideal for students who live further away from the studio, to avoid traffic and be more flexible by having your private voice lessons through Skype (webcam video chat).
Group Lesson:
Though lessons will not be as personal and tailored as private lessons, this is a great way for children, beginners, or recreational singers to try things out, as the financial burden is less than private lessons.

English, Cantonese (粵語), and Mandarin (國語)
Location and price
David Cheung Vocal Studio is located at the quiet and safe residential area near the Centerville Library in Fremont, around San Francisco Bay Area. Exact address will be sent after the booking of lessons. Lesson rates are $70 per hour, $35 per half. 10% off with a five(5)-hour lessons bundle.
